This is Morgan Gain, she is 4 years old and up until 2 weeks ago, was playing, running and being a typical 4 year old. They had been approved and were planning a trip to Disney for her make a wish trip. Her moms name is Dasa, and I feel so incredibly bad for the rest of thier family. In March 2010, they lost Mikayla at 5 yrs old to Alpers (a very aggressive type of mito). Same as her sister, healthy and one day the seizures took over.. Morgan is in an medical induced coma and they are trying to let her rest and see if her seizures ease or subside. The EEG is not looking very good, and unless a miracle is provided, they will have some tough decisions to make soon..please please pray, send good thoughts, do whatever it is that you do.please..
Saturday UPDATE from Dasa!
They decided to go down on the pentobarb a little more...Her eeg is looking better today~!!! It's a slow process, but she'll be waking up in the next day or two!!! PaPaw said he's letting maddie sleep in but then bringing her in just a bit. : ) Thank you all for the prayers and...

Just breaks my heart to hear stories like these. Doesn't seem fair and I send all the prayers I can for this little girl to have a miracle like no other. Bless her heart and her family. May God take care of her and help her through this horrible ordeal.
Thank you for sharing and please keep us posted.
Sending many prayers for sweet little Morgan and her family.
I will pray for Morgan.
Sending tons of prayers for this sweet child ! Is her mom from Czech (judging by the name) or somewhere around?
So sad...I hate that this poor family is going through this for a 2nd time. God bless them with a miracle...for Morgan and the younger sister too that she will not be affected with this disease too.
btw, I believe Mikayla passed in 2010. :o( (I looked up Dasa's fb page.)
Poor baby, I was just checking her FB page. I can only imagine what theyre going through right now. Such precious little girls, so sad and unfair. Mito is so cruel. Thanks for sharing, hugs-
Heidi & Jack.

Jenny, I so admire who you are and what a powerful woman you have become. I cant' tell you how grateful I am that you and Jay made that promise to your family not to turn away from each other in your grief, but turned toward one another in spite of the stats that would have given you an easy out. You have beat the odds. Ella will never be forgotten, she will be with you everyday in the smile of another, the mention of her name spoken by others that named their little girls the same name. You will hear it in a store and look
around to see where it came from and then you will remember all over again. It would be wrong to let her memory go, she was here, a person in her own right, I will remember her always or until my memory goes which could be in a few years. I don't believe you were chosen for this challenge, things just happen. On that day it could have just as easily happened to the couple down the street or on the next block. I truly believe that bad things happen to good people and there isn't any thing we can do to change it, but use our grief to help others like you and Jay do on a daily basis. You wrote so much the last few days I haven't seen so many new things up for awhile. I love your writing, where is the book? Love you so, Ann
